As someone who is married to a tattoo artist, do not go to someone just because celebrities/big named people go to them. So many celebrities have HORRIBLE tattoos.
Honestly, I think it’s because a lot of celebrities don’t want to be on a waitlist so they book a tattoo artist ready to clear out their schedule and all. Also some tattoo shops are straight up factories lmao, there is no connection so no real love or care put into the tattoos.

Or, is it surrealism? Stoned. And some have shitty appointment scheduling. If you require more than 1 visit. You cannot go wrong with Good Time Charlie's on Lincoln Blvd. Anaheim, I think? All over CA you will definitely find one from SD to da Bay & I think they can even come out or, just have you and your crew chill in the studio also. Going to the dentist when you have really bad teeth is the most vulnerable and embarrassing moments of your life. It's a huge step to finally reach out to a dentist and then to be exploited like this must be unbearable.
That dentist is so awful. Who knows for how many nights that poor girl has cried about her teeth. A good smile is something people so often take for granted, especially because of how expensive it is to get them fixed up.
I had terrible teeth especially during high school and I finally was able to get my teeth fixed. The dentist I had immediately talked down on me for my teeth and bullied me for being underweight, asian, bad hair, and other things. Its surprisingly common to have rude af dentists. Atleast from my experience of jumping dentists all the time. 😭 I now have a full mouth of implants at 24 its really sad. :/
Going to the dentist to support my wife who hadn't been in almost twenty years and had extremely damaged teeth was so devastating that we were both crying. We apparently got lucky because everyone there was extremely kind to her, and one of the younger dentists hooked us up with a friend of his who was still going to dental school. We were able to get all the root canals she needed for free (and the rest of the care she needed at a very large discount) since she was essentially volunteering to be practice for students. Definitely recommend people try that route if they're struggling with dental pain.

As someone who unfortunately is dealing with dental problems and as someone who wears partials this genuinely breaks my heart. When the woman in the blue shirt who was told she has “summer teeth” said that people don’t respect you, you’re looked down upon, etc. I wanted to cry. It’s absolutely true. You’re treated like you’re lesser than because you don’t have a perfect smile. What people don’t understand is just how expensive it is to fix even ONE tooth, nevermind multiple. It will cost me $14k just to fix it everything, and SURPRISE, it’s not a fun feeling at all. It destroys your confidence and every single day is a battle looking in the mirror and trying to eat throughout the day knowing you have this problem that feels like you’ll never be able to afford to fix. Fuck this guy. He doesn’t need to be in practice, this is just cruel and humiliating. He’s taking advantage of vulnerable people and he needs to be stopped.

I think part of the issue is going to a celebrity artist. Alot of celeb tattoos are more trendy then they are good. IMO Ethan should go to someone with a style he likes and years of experience. Not somone famous, just someone good, alot of quality artistry and talent out there.

as someone who works in a neuro icu, my heart exploded with sadness at the lady getting her back adjusted. she truly could have been paralyzed and suffered a life of intense pain and lost dignity having to be changed when she needs to go to the bathroom. chiropractors need to be absolutely and utterly banned.

The sad part about the chiropractor part is these people have been in pain for a long time. They probably can’t afford to get a kyphoplasty done to help their back heal so they’re going to these predatory snake oil salesmen for some sort of relief. I have broken my L4 a couple of times now and I understand how painful a vertebral fracture is. If she has several of them I want to cry for her and what that man is doing to her. 😭

@@meghanscully5203 I deal with chronic pain & I personally would go to a Thai massage therapist. I’d trust them before chiropractors. The focus is more on the muscular tension which at least genuinely will give you relief.
@@meghanscully5203I would try a chiro at least just once, my mom had awful chronic pain from having plantar fasciitis and she went consistently to her chiro and it was a huge relief for her. She’s fine now and only has a flare up like once a year or so. Of course, if you really don’t want to or find a better route, do what’s right for you! Just know that not every chiro is absolutely insane like the ones they like to highlight here on the show. An actual, genuine chiro will never try to sell you on pseudo science and will be upfront and honest with you. Proceed with caution like with most important things. Best of luck! 💕

Also, as someone with tattoos, it’s very normal for the artist to show you their sketch the day of the tattoo and modifications can be done at that point…I really feel like the dude was annoyed by the lidocaine request and asking to see the sketch beforehand. Definitely trolled him
The chiropractor thing happened to my grandmother years ago when i was little. Im in my 30s now and she never healed from it. The rest of her life was destroyed from a chiropractor who told her the day he KNEW he effed her up that she'd "never be able to prove it was him that did it." It lead her to a life of needing opioids, which lead to the effects of long term use of those, now is dealing with the kidney issues that come from that, she goes to bed multiple nights a week in tears, and thats with the meds (although the meds shes been on for years docs are taking away now, leaving an elderly woman in pain and addicted to opioids because she had a doctor change and the new doctor doesnt think she needs a medication shes been on for 30 years.) Moral of the story is- it's been a life of pain, struggle, and further complications all stemming from one jacka*s in under 10 seconds.
My Grandma had a similar experience with pain management & Drs deciding to take her off opiods she's been on for 30yrs because they are so worried for her "addiction". Like bro, shes in her mid/late 80s, who cares if she's dependent on her pain meds? She doesn't over take them, or take them to get high. She genuinely needs them for pain. My family ended up getting her onto Hospice services so that she doesn't have to be cut off from her pain meds. Idk if that is something available to you & your family, or if its something y'all would want to do. If your family struggles in care taking your grandma as well as the meds issues I would say to consider it at least. Peace & love girl

I’m a tattoo artist and I can assure you no serious artist will ever send you this many sketches, that’s sus in itself. You might send 2-3 option, and that’s just sketches, nothing finished until you know that the client likes the direction. It’s simply not possible time wise if you have decent amount of work. The price was also sounding quite high. I don’t know about the US but in Europe 100-200 euro an hour is common, but maybe it’s normal there idk or I guess the guy is famous and booked out. Don’t go after how many followers they have, that doesn’t really say anything about quality. Hope you find a good one! 🤞

I've met a handful of new tatt artists who deliberately only steal designs and use ai/Photoshop Instagram flash sheets. It's disheartening because I'm a traditionalist and draw for fun but I suppose they just do it to make ends meet at least initially, they done girlbossed the arts.
I checked out for a long time too but just recently came back a couple months ago and it's getting better again, the vibe and energy is giving old school lately

Having a hard time understanding how an artist could present those options …I have no problem with AI to generate ideas and for composition but present it as such and atleast attempt to fulfill the request without putting a spin on it, especially for a memorial portrait. Imagine the artist did that with a human…unacceptable.
exactly... like this artist didnt even try a little bit... i understand using ai to a point, like you say for composition or a general idea, but definitely not for a full design. and obviously if your client gives you a specific reference of someones face...that means you need to use the reference... this was so lazy and unprofessional im kinda shocked. id be so embarrassed as an artist to do something like that
The problem with this AI generation is that the level of photo realism just does not translate accurately to skin. It needs to be handdrawn because super detailed tats do not age well regardless of the artist's technical level, esp with the amount of fur in the photo. So the artist needs to draw it in sketch phase with their experience of knowing what sort of lines and details need to be rejected for the sake of what will look good on the arm.
Also for god's sake do not book an LA tattoo artist who has availability within the next 7 days. That is not a reputable artist. I have eyelash technicians booking 3weeks out. lol

A tattoo artist who works on celebrities is a red flag tbh. Usually it takes me minimum a month to get into my regular artist. Celebrities usually only go to artists that have the ability to drop everything and do what they ask NOW. Which is why there are so many celebs with bad tattoos. Obviously, this isn't the case 100% of the time. But it's happened a lot.

As someone who unfortunately is dealing with dental problems and as someone who wears partials this genuinely breaks my heart. When the woman in the blue shirt who was told she has “summer teeth” said that people don’t respect you, you’re looked down upon, etc. I wanted to cry. It’s absolutely true. You’re treated like you’re lesser than because you don’t have a perfect smile. What people don’t understand is just how expensive it is to fix even ONE tooth, nevermind multiple. It will cost me $14k just to fix it everything, and SURPRISE, it’s not a fun feeling at all. It destroys your confidence and every single day is a battle looking in the mirror and trying to eat throughout the day knowing you have this problem that feels like you’ll never be able to afford to fix. Fuck this guy. He doesn’t need to be in practice, this is just cruel and humiliating. He’s taking advantage of vulnerable people and he needs to be stopped.

I think part of the issue is going to a celebrity artist. Alot of celeb tattoos are more trendy then they are good. IMO Ethan should go to someone with a style he likes and years of experience. Not somone famous, just someone good, alot of quality artistry and talent out there.

The sad part about the chiropractor part is these people have been in pain for a long time. They probably can’t afford to get a kyphoplasty done to help their back heal so they’re going to these predatory snake oil salesmen for some sort of relief. I have broken my L4 a couple of times now and I understand how painful a vertebral fracture is. If she has several of them I want to cry for her and what that man is doing to her. 😭

@@meghanscully5203 I deal with chronic pain & I personally would go to a Thai massage therapist. I’d trust them before chiropractors. The focus is more on the muscular tension which at least genuinely will give you relief.
@@meghanscully5203I would try a chiro at least just once, my mom had awful chronic pain from having plantar fasciitis and she went consistently to her chiro and it was a huge relief for her. She’s fine now and only has a flare up like once a year or so. Of course, if you really don’t want to or find a better route, do what’s right for you! Just know that not every chiro is absolutely insane like the ones they like to highlight here on the show. An actual, genuine chiro will never try to sell you on pseudo science and will be upfront and honest with you. Proceed with caution like with most important things. Best of luck! 💕

Also, as someone with tattoos, it’s very normal for the artist to show you their sketch the day of the tattoo and modifications can be done at that point…I really feel like the dude was annoyed by the lidocaine request and asking to see the sketch beforehand. Definitely trolled him

The chiropractor thing happened to my grandmother years ago when i was little. Im in my 30s now and she never healed from it. The rest of her life was destroyed from a chiropractor who told her the day he KNEW he effed her up that she'd "never be able to prove it was him that did it." It lead her to a life of needing opioids, which lead to the effects of long term use of those, now is dealing with the kidney issues that come from that, she goes to bed multiple nights a week in tears, and thats with the meds (although the meds shes been on for years docs are taking away now, leaving an elderly woman in pain and addicted to opioids because she had a doctor change and the new doctor doesnt think she needs a medication shes been on for 30 years.) Moral of the story is- it's been a life of pain, struggle, and further complications all stemming from one jacka*s in under 10 seconds.
My Grandma had a similar experience with pain management & Drs deciding to take her off opiods she's been on for 30yrs because they are so worried for her "addiction". Like bro, shes in her mid/late 80s, who cares if she's dependent on her pain meds? She doesn't over take them, or take them to get high. She genuinely needs them for pain.
My family ended up getting her onto Hospice services so that she doesn't have to be cut off from her pain meds. Idk if that is something available to you & your family, or if its something y'all would want to do. If your family struggles in care taking your grandma as well as the meds issues I would say to consider it at least. Peace & love girl

I’m a tattoo artist and I can assure you no serious artist will ever send you this many sketches, that’s sus in itself. You might send 2-3 option, and that’s just sketches, nothing finished until you know that the client likes the direction. It’s simply not possible time wise if you have decent amount of work. The price was also sounding quite high. I don’t know about the US but in Europe 100-200 euro an hour is common, but maybe it’s normal there idk or I guess the guy is famous and booked out. Don’t go after how many followers they have, that doesn’t really say anything about quality. Hope you find a good one! 🤞

I've met a handful of new tatt artists who deliberately only steal designs and use ai/Photoshop Instagram flash sheets. It's disheartening because I'm a traditionalist and draw for fun but I suppose they just do it to make ends meet at least initially, they done girlbossed the arts.

Having a hard time understanding how an artist could present those options …I have no problem with AI to generate ideas and for composition but present it as such and atleast attempt to fulfill the request without putting a spin on it, especially for a memorial portrait. Imagine the artist did that with a human…unacceptable.
exactly... like this artist didnt even try a little bit... i understand using ai to a point, like you say for composition or a general idea, but definitely not for a full design. and obviously if your client gives you a specific reference of someones face...that means you need to use the reference... this was so lazy and unprofessional im kinda shocked. id be so embarrassed as an artist to do something like that
The problem with this AI generation is that the level of photo realism just does not translate accurately to skin. It needs to be handdrawn because super detailed tats do not age well regardless of the artist's technical level, esp with the amount of fur in the photo. So the artist needs to draw it in sketch phase with their experience of knowing what sort of lines and details need to be rejected for the sake of what will look good on the arm.
Also for god's sake do not book an LA tattoo artist who has availability within the next 7 days. That is not a reputable artist. I have eyelash technicians booking 3weeks out. lol

A tattoo artist who works on celebrities is a red flag tbh. Usually it takes me minimum a month to get into my regular artist. Celebrities usually only go to artists that have the ability to drop everything and do what they ask NOW. Which is why there are so many celebs with bad tattoos. Obviously, this isn't the case 100% of the time. But it's happened a lot.
